As seismic waves propagate towards the surface, they undergo modifications due to various factors that alter the frequency and amplitude of seismic phases. Evaluating the susceptibility of geological materials beneath structures to motion amplification is crucial for site-specific projects. • Calculating shear-wave velocity and elastic properties of soil columns through shallow seismic surveys, such as microtremor surveys or multi-channel analysis of surface waves.
